Spread the Love and the Laughs
Since 2017, The NZ Comedy School has helped budding comedians of all ages, genders, and cultures find their voices, conquer their fears, and make people laugh with their own unique experiences and viewpoints. We've trained over 500 students – with 57% being female or non-binary – and our graduates are now dominating stages, winning awards, and creating their own inclusive shows across New Zealand. We’ve given away thousands in diversity scholarships to help people afford the course, all with minimal government funding (but with maximum love).
However: To keep the (spot)lights on, expand our reach, and keep the mahi going, we need your help!
Choose where you want your money to go!
Keep Being Amazing
Cover the day-to-day magic – venue costs, equipment, admin support, and keeping our incredible teaching team going. Every dollar helps us maintain the high standards that make our graduates "professional, reliable, skilled, and funny."
Expand Our Diversity Scholarships
We've already awarded 70+ scholarships to ensure comedy isn't just for those who can afford it. Help us say YES to more aspiring comedians from underrepresented communities who deserve their shot at the spotlight.
Produce More Killer Showcases
Our shows like Campground (LGBTQAI+ comedy) and Best in Class give graduates real stage time and audiences the chance to see themselves represented in comedy. More funding = more opportunities for our amazing alumni.
Develop Online Resources & Access
Help us reach rural communities, isolated folks, and anyone who can't make it to in-person classes. We're building online courses and resources to democratize comedy education across Aotearoa and beyond.
