Have you always wanted to try storytelling but don't know where to start?

It works as a stand-alone class, or as your introduction to the Complete Course in Storytelling.

If you go on to the Complete Course, this class is included in your tuition.

A fun, zero-pressure introduction to the art of storytelling, for the stage and beyond: performance, grants, pitches, speeches, and the story you keep meaning to tell properly. In one evening you'll learn how to generate ideas for great stories, how to structure a story for the stage, and how to perform it with panache. From inspiration to structure to delivery.

What you’ll learn

  • Where to find stories worth telling in your own life

  • The shape of a stage story: desire, stakes, and transformation

  • How to build suspense and emotion

  • Delivery: voice, presence, and connecting with a room

What to expect

No experience necessary. You won't be forced to perform. Speaking and sharing is completely voluntary but highly encouraged.

Bring a pen and a notebook (you'll be writing), an open mind and a good attitude.

$20 suggested koha,
but pay what you can.

Bring cash on the day or pay in advance by bank transfer.

If you're planning to join the Complete Storytelling Workshop, this class is already included in your tuition.
